Aquarium Chillers
With all of the lighting, pumps and heaters that we attach to our aquariums, especially our reef aquariums cause a great deal of heat that can catch even an experience Aquarist off his or her guard. We all know that sudden temperature changes can affect our fish and their habitats, but we usually focus on sudden downturn in temperature, but rarely upturns in the temperature of the aquarium.
That's when the aquarium chiller becomes necessary. Chillers help maintain a constant temperature in the aquarium, much like the heater, except it cools it off it becomes too hot.
There are three types of chillers, and you can find each type below. The Thermoelectric chiller is for small freshwater and reef aquariums. The Inline chillers work with aquariums which use inline filtering to cool the already filtered water. And the Drop-In filter which is put directly into the wet/dry filter of the saltwater aquarium. Be sure to browse the aquarium chillers we have for you below from Drs. Foster and Smith!
